Tour de france 2008 kicks off tomorrow. AWESOME. Back in Sydney, we would be glued to the 10pm SBS telecasts until the stage finish. It was typically 1 or 2am by that time, and the telecast didn’t even start from the beginning of the stage. Fark. I finished writing that sentence and realised I should check whether they are even telecasting it here in Singapore. FARRR OUTTT! I don’t think they even telecast on the cableTV sports channels. I am so bummed. Oh…I need to look for alternatives…Now this really deserves a sad mushroom =(

I’ve hunted around through the net and found nothing in terms of coverage. Not even Eurosport seems to be telecasting it. I did find a thread that said channel 44 on cable would have it, but nothing in the guide.
Like you, I’m from OZ, and would normally be watching from the depart to the finish. If you come across any details, please email me at andrew.poole@nike.com otherwise it will be the SBS website for the next 3 weeks.
After a depressing night in front of two PC’s and surfing the TV, I did discover a 30 minutes highlight package on this evening at 930pm on Ch22. My baguette and French bubbles we sadly consumed whilst looking at some of the feeds over the net… sad but true!

Thanks for the encouragement Andrew. I hope you and your wife are enjoying Singapore so far – it’s certainly been a great experience for me to date. mrQ and I watched a highlights package this morning also, although not as good as the real thing. I could get a visual feed, and an audio feed last night, but not at the same time! Would love to hear about your experiences here too. Cheers!
